Travel Vaccinations
We carry a stock of routine travel vaccinations including, Typhoid, Hepatitis A and B, Tetanus, Diphtheria, Polio, Rabies and Yellow Fever. If you are going to travel abroad we recommend that you arrange to see the doctor well in advance of travelling to ensure that you are covered for your trip. Travel vaccines are very safe and highly effective. Ideally you should make a travel medicine appointment at least six weeks before travel.
Many parts of Europe, Australia and North America do not need particular vaccinations for travel but if you are unsure it is best to check with the doctor well in advance of travelling. You need to have most travel vaccinations at least four to six weeks prior to travel. It is important that you consider the vaccinations you may need as soon as you know of your intention to travel.
If you are travelling within the EU remember to get your European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) This can be obtained from the HSE or online www.ehic.ie
